Welcome to our Pocono Mountain chalet! It would be an absolute pleasure to host you here where we strive to make sure your stay is filled with joy and relaxation while creating cherished memories. Our chalet is more than just a place to stay; it’s a haven where you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, reconnect with family or rejuvenate after a day of outdoor adventure. We’ve poured our hearts into creating a space that offers comfort, serenity, and a touch of rustic elegance for you and your friends and family to enjoy.
Comfort and happiness are our top priorities. If there’s anything you need or any special request you have, please don’t hesitate to reach out. About The Space
Your large family or group will love the Dashing Deer Chalet, our spacious home in a private wooded community in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. While here you can enjoy the hot tub, game room & expansive deck. You’ll be just a short drive away from the community’s private lake & pool (seasonally available), playground, basketball court and near hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, water parks, whitewater rafting, paintball, ATVs & more. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or an action-packed adventure, our home is the perfect vacation destination.
THE HOME
Our home, the Dashing Deer Chalet, is the perfect place for your family or group to create lasting memories. Whether you are coming for a weekend getaway or staying for a week or two, our home is centrally located near all the outdoor activities in the Pocono Mountains but if you prefer a more relaxing experience you can sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the woods.
OUTDOOR SPACES
There is no better way to shed the stress of everyday life than soaking in the hot tub and enjoying the serenity of nature surrounding you. Be on the lookout for deer as they frequent the area to graze.
On the large, front-facing deck, you’ll find a propane grill for burgers, hot dogs, steaks or whatever you prefer along with an outdoor table and chairs if you want to dine al fresco. This deck faces the woods and is a great place for your morning coffee, to read a book, a meal with family or friends or to end the night with some great conversation around the fire table which may be used for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores.
LIVING AREAS
With two separate living areas there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. Upstairs, there is plenty of seating around the wood-burning fireplace to relive memories from previous visits or plan the next adventure. The smart TV allows you to access all your streaming services using the high-speed WiFi if you want to enjoy a movie or show.
Downstairs, the game room offers hours of entertainment for kids and adults alike, including air hockey, hot shot basketball, foosball and arcade games. When it’s time to unwind for the night, the large sectional is a great place for the kids to enjoy a movie on a second smart TV.
DINING/KITCHEN
The vast dining table comfortably seats ten and is adjacent to the kitchen island which includes seating for four more. This is a great space for everyone to come together for a meal, to recap the day’s events, engage in conversation, or to play any of the board games we provide.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to make delicious, home-cooked meals including:
– A fully-stocked coffee bar with a variety of k-cups, teas, sweeteners, creamers, and gourmet flavors
– Pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, etc.
– Sponges, dishwashing detergent, dish soap and paper towels
– Plenty of cabinet space and a full pantry to store snacks and groceries
SLEEPING AREAS/BATHROOMS
Whether you spend the day relaxing surrounded by nature or swimming, hiking, biking, skiing or exploring, you’ll rest comfortably in the exceptionally large bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms are furnished with luxurious king-sized beds and the fourth bedroom has two queen sized beds and twin bunk beds for the kids.
All the beds are new with new, comfortable, memory foam mattresses, luxurious sheets, comforters and plenty of pillows.
There is a full bathroom on each floor with tubs for small children. We include bath towels, washcloths and hot tub towels as well as hand towels in the bathrooms and kitchen. We also provide enough hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and toilet paper in each bathroom for a weekend stay.
GUEST ACCESS
You’ll have the entire home and property to yourself (with the exception of some visiting deer and other wildlife) so spread out and enjoy your time in the beautiful Pocono Mountains.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
While many guests have a wonderful time and never leave our home, you will be centrally located near all that the Pocono Mountains have to offer including: The community lake, pool, beach, (pool and beach open from Memorial Day to Labor Day) playground, sand volleyball court, paddleboats, kayaks, clubhouse with restaurant and basketball and tennis courts are just a short 5 minute drive away. A maximum of eight (8) wristbands are available
for these amenities.
